Rena has sponsored a Men’s Slowpitch Competitive team for the last 16 years. A former player of fast pitch and slow pitch, Rena now loves to sit back and watch the guys play.

A Screenwriter. Rena’s interest in this documentary took form only a few months before filming as a vision to bring the world of Men’s Slowpitch Softball that she loves so much to the rest of the world. With the association of True Player Entertainment, and strong relationships within the softball community, Rena’s accomplishment of forming 44 CORE PRODUCTIONS highlights her ability to inform and entertain the masses.

Terry Calek - Producer/Treasurer
Terry is the financial and strategic planning principle within 44 Core Productions. She has over 25 years of experience in the Fortune 500 corporate world, shaping national public relations platforms including a syndicated television program, media relations and promotional strategies, employee and external communications and investor/financial programs for both the investment community and shareholders.

As Vice President and treasurer of True Player Entertainment, Terry provides business planning and financial management insights to the company, overseeing the financial growth and strategic concerns.


Chad Calek - Director/Creative Producer
Chad brings a unique insight to the world of entertainment. An accomplished musician, producer, director, songwriter and journalist, Calek provides first hand knowledge acquired in nearly every field of the entertainment business. At 26 Years of Age, Calek's efforts have already been applauded in such national publications as SPIN Magazine and Request Magazine.

Whether touring with his band, 35" Mudder, sharing the stage with such platinum artists such as Limp Bizkit, Incubus and System of a Down, working as a journalist for Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Gartner, managing several musical acts, scoring, writing and producing feature films or directing Gen-X style commercials, original programming and music videos for such clients as Pepsi/Mountain Dew, MTV2, Curt Smith of Tears For Fears, Taking Back Sunday and Index Case, Calek's past successes have allowed a firsthand, experienced insight to lead True Player Entertainment on every level of operation.

Justin Holstein - Field Producer/ Production Manager
Justin’s experience in the entertainment business spans nearly a decade. Working on every level of film production, from indie feature films such as "Love From Ground Zero" and Michael Moore's "The Big One", to Hollywood big-budget productions such as Amblin and Warner Brothers' "Twister", gave Holstein a firm understanding of the physical aspects of filmmaking. The years involving the writing and producing of "The Private Public", True Player's first feature film, lent yet another view point. The journey from the writer's perspective to the producer's role opened a new door of understanding to the process of filmmaking, and how the physical aspects of production play into the delicate creative world.

Terry Enger - 1st Assistant Director
Terry has been working in collaboration with True Player Entertainment as a 1st Assistant Director for over four years now.  He's run the set on feature films and music videos, so a documentary is new and welcome ground for Terry.  Terry has also been playing slow pitch softball in Ames, Iowa for many years, so his insight has added some depth into 44core interviews.

Josh Casey - Production Assistant/ Sound Assistant

A student at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Josh is studying all aspects of film, writing and producing. A writer in his own right, Josh is wetting his feet on the 44 CORE production crew.

Chris Sanwick- Production Assistant

A player and go getter, Chris bring with him the ability to run the bases when needed and make sure the ball does not hit our cameraman during the shoot.
