Our First Magazine Cover

OK, so it’s not  officially  a cover about 44 Core Productions, but it’s close enough for us!
Actually this magazine came across my desk about a month ago.  I receive a few softball related stuff every week, I read everything, then set it aside.  This is the 2006 Tournament Guide.  Southwest Softball Magazine is published and edited by Stafford Connor.  They  list all the major tournaments within the Southwest, this includes Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico.  I had the pleasure of meeting Stafford a few times.  Great Guy.
As I sat at my desk staring at the cover, I realized that the guy playing second is none other that Bobby Turner from RTS Crew, one of the teams we filmed during the year.  The picture was taken at the ASA Hooters Championship Series in Oklahoma City.  (which we also filmed) He is tagging out (or you make the call) a member of Russell’s Paint and Body.  Russell’s went on to win the series 3-1.
Other than the tournament guide, they also publish other issues with interesting articles.  You can order this issue for $3.00.  You can also get a subscription, 1 year (8 issues) for $15 or a 2 year subscription (16 issues) for $25.  Give Stafford Connor a call at  (817) 475-8152.  Tell him you heard about his magazine from the 44 Core website and maybe we can butter him up for a 44 CORE COVER!  Kidding.
Stafford writes and publishes this magazine for the love of the game, and it shows in the quality .  Although I am mentioning Southwest Softball Magazine and Stafford Connor, we here at 44 Core want it to be known that we have not been paid to write this article or are supported by any organizations.   We write stories on this site to support softball, the people who love it, and the players.  Just wanted to let you know for all those people who have been saying we are linked and sponsored by certain associations.  I've yet to receive a check, but hey, my mailbox is always open!
We support all associations, ASA, USSSA, NSA, WSL, and anyone else who plays this great sport.

This is for you Carter.
The man who constantly gives me sh!t for not showing him any love on the 44 Core site.  Well Carter, here you go, my first official selection for 44 Core's player of the month.  Last year Carter played left field with ASA National Champions RTS Crew, this year he will be playing outfield with RTS POWER.  Hailing from Missouri, Carter missed one game all season, and that was do to Katrina-work related overtime.  But be sure to ask Carter how he ran his treasured truck into the ground to get to the Nationals after missing only the first two games.  While he was playing he was named on the First Tournament Team for outfield.  3 other of his team mates were also named on the first team, while two others were named on the second tournament team.  I think he'll tell you the experience was worth any damage done to his truck.    Hat's off to Carter Morrison.  And when you see him, you can’t miss him, he has a huge leg brace on his leg, ( it's actually a rollerblade knee pad, pretty good idea! ) Make sure you tell him..."GEEZE, your on the 44 Core site!  I never get any love from them."  And if you too are feeling neglected, send in your picture and a bit more stats than I have for Carter and let's see who's going to be the player of the month for April.  Send your name, good quality .jpeg picture, state and team you play for, and any stats you may have.  And besides kissing my butt, why would you like to be named 44 CORE's player of the month.  Send to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
