Team of the Year 2006 CUSTOM T'S HITMEN |

Front Row: Dreu Councill, Tracy Bryan, Tony Bell, Coach Kenny Kaminski, Jamie Holdorf Back Row: Bob Bassett, Bobby Knowles, Justin Jarose, Aaron Mckeever, Chad McClanahan, Asst. Coach Duane Childs, Troy Cloyd, Chad Gabriel. Not pictured: Ryan Bratt, Mike Kiley, Kurt Chase, and Troy Wharton
My choice for the 2006 team of the year is Custom T's Hitmen out of Omaha Nebraska. OK, so this is my team that I have sponsored for the last 10 years, but hey, I really think they deserve it. Why? First, they worked there asses off this year. A USSSA "D" team, they won their league title, USSSA Nebraska "C" State, USSSA Nebraska "D" state, 4th in Nationals, 6 first place finishes in tournaments, with a year ending record of 113 wins and 36 losses and they went on to finish 3rd in the USSSA "D" Worlds in Kansas City. My second reason, they won 10 games in a row in a 24 hour period in Worlds. They ended with an 11-2 record, playing 11 games straight. To me that is more like an iron man competition! They placed behind first place Michigan Mush, and second place First Command/RMBS. For that, they deserve the 44 Core title of Team of the year. Good luck to them in USSSA "C" next year. They have the heart and talent to place just as high. And with that another year of slow pitch softball comes to an end. For all of you who competed, job well done, and good luck in fall ball. I look forward to 2007 and the release of our movie, 44 Core. Keep checking the website for updates and the release of our new trailer.
